A vibrant hand painted silk scarf in various hues of yellow, blue-ish green, purple, and poppy red. This silk was painted in reference to the scorching deserts of Texas sprinkled with tumble weeds and cactus. It is made of light weight Habotai silk which is renowned for its fineness, softness, and sheen. I painted it using Jacquard Green Label fabric dyes as well as salt for a starburst effect.

Please be advised, each one-of-a-kind original silk needs to be stretch with fishhooks before painting. If you look closely, you may be able to see where it was stretched. This won't be noticeable to your admirers.
